Prices

Set membership fees and default hire rates for your organisation. These are the amounts you charge members — not the OpenCommute plan your organisation pays.

  1. Go to Settings > Prices.
  2. Choose Monthly or Yearly membership, then enter the member and organisation amounts for that interval.
  3. Set hire rates, mileage surcharge bands, and the day-rate threshold. Hire rates and mileage surcharges can be £0.00.
  4. Choose These prices apply from. Leave it as today to use the new amounts on the next invoice. Pick a future date if you want to announce a rise without billing it early.
  5. Click Save prices.

Until membership prices are above £0.00, Alerts shows Prices not set under Settings. The Start subscription window also warns that the invoice will be £0.00. Users who can open this page see a Set prices link.

Effective dates

Invoices use the rate in force on the date they cover:

  • Membership invoices use the start of the calendar month or year being billed. A April invoice uses the 1 April rate even if it is generated in March.
  • Hire invoices use the booking start date.

Issued invoices keep the amount already stored. Changing prices does not rewrite them.

A scheduled change stays on Prices until the date arrives, with a short summary of what changes. You can cancel it before that date. Price history lists what was charged when.

This is separate from Founding Member or your organisation’s OpenCommute subscription.
