Bulk update members
Use Settings → Bulk update members to change details for many members and staff at once. Filter by member type (for example Non-Driver member or Staff driver), choose which fields to update, then apply the change to everyone who matches.
Recent runs and undo
Open the Recent runs tab to see bulk updates on your team in a table. Use Undo on a row to restore only the fields that run changed. Later edits to other fields (for example disabling a member, or applying a subscription override after a marketing-only bulk update) are left alone. Undo does not recreate subscription invoices voided when an override was applied — check Billing → Subscription on affected members if invoices still need raising.
Who can bulk update
Users with permission to update members can open this page (typically Admin and Manager roles).
Filter who is included
- Member types — select one or more types, or leave empty to include everyone on the team.
- Subscription — optional filter by subscription status (Active, Unpaid, None, Overridden, and so on).
- Only people who require a membership subscription — limits the list to Non-Driver, Driver, and Group members (pure staff without member types are excluded).
The page shows how many people match and a paginated preview with Before and After for each enabled update, including skipped rows with a short note.
Updates you can apply
Turn on only the changes you want. Each section has its own switch:
- Marketing signup and Photo consent
- Organisation (including clearing organisation)
- Add member types or Remove member types — removal is skipped for anyone who would be left with no types (the preview notes that it will be ignored)
- Apply subscription override — same rules as Billing → Subscription on one member: reason, expire date, and confirmation. Unpaid membership invoices are voided and memberships are cancelled. This runs only when Apply subscription override is on.
- Revoke subscription override — restore the paid subscription rule for people who currently have an override.
You cannot apply and revoke subscription overrides in the same bulk update.
Confirm the bulk update before Apply bulk update runs. While the update is running, the page shows progress (like Import data) and you can leave and come back. When it finishes, a notification summarises how many records were updated, skipped, or failed. Recent runs lists matched, updated, skipped, and failed counts; skipped rows show why (for example already overridden or does not require a membership subscription). Use the paginated Preview before applying to see the same notes per person.
Subscription override skips
When Apply subscription override is on, people are skipped (not failed) if they do not require a subscription or already have an override. Failures are listed separately — for example when a Direct Debit collection is in progress.
See Managing Members for individual subscription and override behaviour.
