Delete your account
How to request deletion of your OpenCommute account and related personal data.
This page explains how to request deletion of your OpenCommute account and personal data held by darren-glanville.dev. It applies to the OpenCommute Member app and to staff accounts on the OpenCommute platform.
How to request deletion
Email privacy@opencommute.uk with the subject line “Account deletion request”. Please include:
- The email address associated with your account
- Whether you use the OpenCommute Member app, a staff platform account, or both
- Any other detail that helps us identify your account
We will confirm your request and delete the account data we control, or explain if we need more information. We aim to complete requests within 30 days where applicable law requires it.
What we delete
Where darren-glanville.dev is the controller of your login identity and related platform account data (for example your Member app sign-in account, name, email, and associated tokens), we will delete or anonymise that information so it is no longer attributable to you, except where we are required to retain limited records (for example security logs or legal obligations).
Organisation-held data
Community transport organisations that use OpenCommute may hold their own records about you as a member, passenger, or volunteer — for example membership details, bookings, licences, or emergency contacts. That organisation is typically the controller of that data. Deleting your OpenCommute login does not automatically erase records held by your transport organisation. If you also want those records deleted or corrected, contact the organisation that provides your transport service, or ask us when you email and we will explain what we can do.
